Event reference

All event types

Every eventType, subEventType and signalType Signals sends, with the platform field and the header values, plus code that filters on them.

Signals sends 18 kinds of event. Each has an eventType (the family), a subEventType (the platform) and a signalType (the product event name).

How to read this page

A run webhook names its family in eventType and counts each event name in events, so you can route a POST before you read a page. Each event in a page's items has its own eventType and subEventType. The platform field is the one key in the body that holds the item details. See Event shape.

Every event

signalType shows the new name first. The updated and removed names are in the next section. Today only job postings send removed (jobs.removed).

The action field maps to the change: new for a first sighting, updated for a changed item, removed for one that is gone. Website events are the exception: a changed page is action: "updated" with signalType: "website.changed". website.page_removed is in the schema but never sent. website.page_added is listed in a website run webhook with total: 0, and has no events today.

signalType per source

These are all the names in the schema. The pull API can return all of them. A run webhook has one section per name its tracker can send: see Event names per family.

LinkedIn engagement has no webhook

linkedin_engagement has no eventType and no subEventType. It is never sent by webhook or posted to Slack. Read it from the pull API.
