Set it up

Add the competitor

Go to Feed or Trackers and click Add competitor. Enter the website, for example pipedrive.com, and click Continue.

Tick News

On What should we watch at …?, tick News. The search uses the competitor's name.

Add other names (optional)

In Other names to search for, add names the press uses, for example Pipedrive Inc.. Separate them with commas.

Pick how often and start

Choose Hourly, Daily or Weekly and click Start tracking. News is the only tracker that can run hourly.

What you get

The first check saves a starting point. You are not sent old articles. From the next check on, each new article that is about the competitor becomes one signal.

In the signal you see:

the article title, source and a summary
Why it matters and a confidence level
Open article to read the original

In your webhook

Each article is one event with eventType: "news". The full key list is on News events. A webhook gets one POST per check (a run webhook) and reads these events from its pages.
