What you get

The first check saves a starting point. From the next check on, each new post that is about the competitor becomes one signal. The competitor's page has a Mentions tab with the same posts. Each row shows the author's photo (initials when there is none) and their name, which links to their LinkedIn profile. Filter by Everyone, the competitor's team, or Others.

People tab on a competitor page
The People tab on a competitor page; the Mentions tab sits next to it. Names are blurred.

In the signal you see the author's photo, name (linked to their profile) and headline, the post text, Why it matters and a confidence level.

In your webhook

Each post is one event with eventType: "mention". mentionResponse.authorKind says whether the author is an employee or an outsider. The full key list is on Mention events. A webhook gets one POST per check (a run webhook) and reads these events from its pages.
